Applied Infrared Sensing launches a new solution for Perimeter Security of Maritime & Offshore Installations — TRITON
TRITON is a hybrid radar and video sensor dedicated to automatic 24/7 surveillance of offshore installations and ports. Developed by a French company Pegase Systems a unique and integrated solution TRITON allows a remote monitoring of the on-waters activities ensuring 360° coverage of offshore installations as well as facilities in ports, harbours, etc.
TRITON integrates:
- Radar that can automatically detect and track any small boat up to 1000m.
- Video camera allowing identification of the intruders detected by the radar.
- Optional speaker allowing warning and discouraging of potential intruders.
TRITON’s X Band frequency maritime type radar has an antenna of 38cm allowing waters monitoring up to 1000m. Its PTZ type video camera has 26X Zoom and 702×575 pixels resolution for high quality full colour video. In addition, TRITON can be easily connected to a remote control centre by means of user-friendly FALCON software which allows radar & video images to be broadcasted and managed by a single operator from a control room.
“Thanks to ATEX certification TRITON is one of the best perimeter protection and security surveillance solutions for Oil & Gas industries. Offshore sites are normally exposed to high risks such as infrastructure damages, halt of production, human life loss, ecological impact and others which lead to significant costs and damage of corporate image. We believe this absolutely brand new maritime solution TRITON will be successfully accepted on Australian market”, says Dmitri Ishchenko, managing director of Applied-Infrared Sensing.
